December 2024
December was a mixed month. We've been so busy getting our new house ready that we didn't do very many standard 'Christmassy' activities but I have learnt how to strip wallpaper, paint walls, and change light switches! I then got sick the week before Christmas and still haven't fully recovered. Bleugh.

Movies and TV
We didn't have much time spare, but 'Wallace and Grommit: Vengance Most Fowl' was a highlight of our media consumption for December. I also sat through numerous Netflix Christmas movies, but wasn't paying enough attention to remember any of them
Video Games
A quiet month for games - I played a very little of quite a few games. I lost interest in Dragon Quest 3 at the pyramid boss in early December, played one session of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, started Factorio for the first time, explored Peglin and got a taster of Old School Rally.
I certainly want beat both Dragon Quest and Indiana Jones over the coming months.
Reading
I picked up a Humble Book Bundle about video games, and read a book about Minesweeper. Super interesting history for what is arguably the most installed game ever! Lots more interesting titles in that bundle too.
I also finished 'Digital Minimalism' by Cal Newport^ which drove a lot of my thinking for my 2025 theme 'intent'
