Week Notes - 2026-34
Last week we went on holiday with my wife's family. We cruised to Norway on P&O Iona and had an absolutely amazing time. A detailed blog post is incoming, but for now, you can enjoy these photos...
This gave me plenty of time for reading, and I managed to finish two books: the Boss Fight Books title Galaga, and the second book in the Dresden Files series. I enjoyed how offbeat Galaga was, and I loved Harry Dresden's second adventure Fool Moon. Apparently they get better from here, so perhaps I'll jump straight into book #3 next?
On the gaming front, I didn't play too much on holiday. I played a little bit of Super Mario Advance 2. I think I struggle with the small screen so perhaps I should try actually wearing my glasses.
Back home, I played a chunk of Raccoin. got into a good position with returning coins, so I should be able to progress through the endless levels when I get back to it. I also picked up my Switch again and went back to Lumines Remastered. The songs of each stage are etched deep into my brain.
We played some Yahtzee on the boat. My wife is still unimpressed I managed to score a double yahtzee in a single game, but she is yet to throw a single one at all. 🤷♂️ We took other games but never got around to playing them.
Being on the cruise meant we walked a lot. I absolutely smashed my step count last week. I'd love to keep it up, but walking is much less inviting when you don't have a sea-deck to wander around.
